Certificate of Non-Existence of National Similar Software (BNDES)

Motivation

Some BNDES financing lines allow the acquisition of software produced abroad, provided that the acquisition is associated with technological development and innovation projects, and that there is proof of the non-existence of a similar national product. These lines are intended for innovation projects that can be requested by companies operating in various sectors of the economy.

According to the BNDES Operational Policies, support for the acquisition of imported goods and services is subject to proof of the non-existence of a similar domestic product, using, for this purpose, among other documents, a certificate from a representative or class entity, of national scope, of the non-existence of domestic production or similar product, which, in the case of software acquisition, is the most appropriate. ABES is, therefore, authorized to issue such a certificate, which is accepted by BNDES.

Certification Name:  Certificate of Non-Existence of National Similar Product for Software.

Field of application: Computer programs of foreign origin, marketed in the country by companies established in the country.
