The president of the ABES Council, Rodolfo Fücher, was present at the international event Startup 20, which took place between February 23 and 26 in Amapá. Promoted by the G20 Engagement Group and supported by the State Government, the meeting provided a unique opportunity to discuss innovative and technological solutions, in addition to the socioeconomic challenges that the Amazon region currently faces.

At the event, Fücher highlighted the diversity of participants and the high level of debates. “An extraordinary group of people was present to discuss social and economic concerns from different countries and Brazil, connecting ecosystems of innovation from all over the world and enabling the exchange of experiences, knowledge and the creation of partnerships”, he declared.

The Startup 20 panels covered topics such as innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability, in addition to the strategic use of Artificial Intelligence in business, among other topics. The program also included technical visits to local universities and research centers.

The initiative was led by Ingrid Barth, president of the Brazilian Startup Association, to whom special thanks are extended from ABES for inviting and organizing this meeting of international relevance. The event also had the support of Sebrae.

This international event is part of an ongoing effort to drive regional development with global impact, using technology as a bridge for collaboration between the public and private sectors. Startup 20 is expected to develop in the future, with virtual meetings scheduled and a next in-person meeting scheduled for the second half of 2024.
