The objective is to add value to HR management in IT companies

To encourage the development of HCM – Human Capital Management processes and the exchange of knowledge between entrepreneurs and HR managers, ABES and Núcleo Softex Campinas promoted a meeting, on the 18th of May, for the presentation of the HCM Program, which aims to organize and disseminate good practices in people management in companies in the IT sector and also in technology-based companies.

Edvar Pera Junior, director of Núcleo Softex Campinas, explained that the program started with companies in the interior of São Paulo, through a salary survey in the sector. “We verified the difficulty of comparing the functions, that the salaries were very discrepant, that there was a lack of career plans or even descriptions of the activities assigned to each position”, he said.

Based on this initial diagnosis, Núcleo Softex Campinas was able to mobilize 30 associated companies, which together have 4,000 employees, to create an online platform, which organizes the data obtained from the mapping of positions and salaries practiced by the participating organizations. “This information becomes a reference when hiring and promoting employees. We want more companies to contribute with data for this platform to establish itself as an important tool in the HR process”, emphasizes the director.

"With the launch of the program for more companies in São Paulo and Brazil, including those associated with ABES, we will be able to disseminate this culture of employee management and contribute to the appreciation of professionals", highlights Carlos Sacco, Director of Marketing and Intelligence at ABES Market.

Another important activity of the HCM Program is holding forums on human resource management, in order to establish a network of knowledge and exchange of experiences.

Christian Souza, CIO of Direct.one, an ABES associate company, commented that he considers it essential to establish “standardization in the search for qualified professionals”. An opinion reiterated by Alessandra Capovilla Macioni, HR coordinator at Gateway Automação, who highlighted that the initiative “has added value, brought managers closer together and contributed to the challenge of promoting the retention of talent in companies”.

On the occasion, the participants of the meeting received a diagnosis of their position structure and an evaluation of their salary scale values compared to amounts paid by other IT companies.

human capital management

Technology-based companies are strongly based on talent, demand specialized human capital and, therefore, demand that the management and improvement of this human capital be a constant.

In the HCM Program, companies are assisted and advised in the elaboration and implementation of an Architecture of Positions and Salaries, in the structuring of a Remuneration Strategy, they have access to a complete system of evaluation of positions and salaries and they participate in HR Forums, in the which experiences are exchanged and best practices in the area of human capital management are presented.

Attracting and retaining talent, knowing and making your team evolve, training and preparing leaders, knowing the characteristics of the market and the HCM ecosystem in which the organization is inserted are essential topics to ensure sustained growth and perpetuity and, therefore, must be a focus special attention from all organizations.
