Now it's easier to publicize and find job openings in the IT area. This is because, since the beginning of the second semester, the ABES Portal started to offer one more service to its associates with the Vacancy Channel – www.abessoftware.com.br/vagas. Member companies can advertise their opportunities at no cost. The process is very simple, just go to the “vacancies” section and click on the “include” option, fill in the information about the job profile, position, area of expertise and location.
When accessing the ad, the candidate can view information about the hiring company, attach their resume and even send a message with a summary of their qualifications. This tool allows interested parties to contact members directly. There is no filter or intermediation and the resumes are redirected to the human resources department of the advertising member.
The initiative is yet another ABES measure to reduce the excess of vacancies in the IT market. The technology area is one of the sectors that generates the most job opportunities every year. However, according to the consultancy IDC, despite so many vacancies available, the Brazilian market lacks approximately 40,000 trained professionals. Predictions for 2015 are that this number will jump to 117 thousand.
