VMware renewed its presence in the Brazilian market with the launch of the new hybrid cloud architecture, VMware Cross-Cloud Architecture. The announcement of the novelty was made by the global CEO of the company, Pat Gelsinger, during the eighth edition of vForum, which took place on October 4, at the World Trade Center -, in São Paulo, which addressed the technologies that will shape the future of IT and how to gain competitive advantage in the age of mobile-cloud. The event featured presentations on mobility, virtualization, security and cloud, by important company partners in Brazil, such as Brasoftware, IBM, Trend Micro and DellEMC, among others. 
 
Gelsinger spoke about the digital transformation that is impacting traditional businesses and current IT structures and presented projections about the process of migrating to the cloud worldwide. In 2030, he considers that 52% of companies will use public cloud, 29% private cloud and only 19% will maintain traditional IT structures, in a clear movement of changing managerial and operational paradigms, providing excellent market perspectives for cloud service providers.
 
The executive commented that, since 2006, when the first commercial cloud service was launched, a lot has evolved in just 10 years. According to the company, currently, the sectors that most use cloud services in the world are the corporations in the IT sector, according to the ranking below:

Cross-cloud architecture
 
VMmare's new Cross-Cloud service will enable you to securely manage, govern and run applications across public clouds, including AWS, Azure and IBM Cloud. “Customers experience the complexity of managing different suppliers, they need more integrated solutions and support to face the challenges”, highlighted the CEO. In this way, VMmare will allow its customers to ensure their applications between clouds and devices in a common operating environment, in the face of demands for governance, security, agility and efficiency.
 
“With the proliferation of technological devices and the advent of the digital workspace, IT managers are constantly encouraged to find solutions to improve security and privacy in the era of cell phones and cross-cloud that we experience today”, says Fábio Costa , president of VMware in Brazil.
 
To support the company's cloud strategy, VMware also announced the launch of the following features and platforms:
 
· VMware Cloud Foundation is a unified software-defined data center (SDDC) platform that makes it easier for customers to manage and run their SDDC clouds;
· Technology Preview of Cross-Cloud Services shows how customers can securely manage, govern and run applications on private and public clouds, including AWS, Azure and IBM Cloud.
· VMware vCloud Availability is a new family of disaster recovery offerings specially built for vCloud Air Network partners;
· New version of VMware vCloud Air Hybrid Cloud Manager provides VMware vSphere users with application migration to VMware vCloud Air without interruption.
· VMware Integrated OpenStack 3 based on OpenStack Mitaka, which introduces new functionality to make deploying OpenStack in the cloud simpler and more cost-effective and enabling customers to use applications that already exist on VMware vSphere in an API-driven OpenStack cloud.
