VMware, a global virtualization and cloud infrastructure company, announced its intention to acquire Arkin Net, which operates in software-defined data center security and operations. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2016.
 
With the acquisition of Arkin and the integration of VMware vRealize Suite, cloud management teams will have access to a new generation of planning, troubleshooting and automation platform that provides visibility and control of the complete data center environment.
