Information technology companies that integrate the Vertical Agribusiness of the Santa Catarina Association of Technology Companies (ACATE) launched on June 2nd, the second edition of Agribusiness & Technology Yearbook, which provides the sector with free contributions such as surveys of software categories available on the market, specific financing, public policies and a complete map of agribusiness in Santa Catarina, with the vocation of each region.

The director of ACATE's Vertical Agribusiness, Clóvis Rossi, emphasizes that the second edition of the Yearbook advances in the survey of IT solutions and presents experiences from Santa Catarina developed by four companies that reap results for agribusiness, contributing to competitiveness, process efficiency, reduction of of costs and increase in gains. Agriness, Khor, Boreste and PariPassu participate in the publication.

“In the first edition, we collected in-depth information about agribusiness. In this second publication, we were able to further specify the Information Technology solutions, demands and characteristics specialized for the area. The intention of disclosing the document is to contribute to the development of companies with information that helps in decision making”, says Rossi.

The solutions developed by Santa Catarina companies show that the integration between productive activity and technology transforms both rural properties and agribusiness into increasingly attractive and profitable businesses. Despite this evolution, the two sectors still have common challenges to overcome, such as training human resources, access to resources and adequate public policies. To help overcome these and other bottlenecks, the publication was created. “We are certain that the success of any action to improve the business environment depends on qualified information, which allows the analysis of scenarios and decision making”, reinforces Guilherme Bernard, president of ACATE.

For this edition of the yearbook, official sources such as the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), Santa Catarina Agricultural Research and Rural Extension Company (Epagri), Brazilian Software Association (ABES) were consulted. and Association for the Promotion of Excellence in Brazilian Software (Softex).
