Veritas Technologies, the leading multi-cloud data management provider, has announced a number of important advances in Backup Exec, the unified protection solution for virtual, physical and multi-cloud environments used by small and medium-sized businesses worldwide. 
 
The launch will allow customers and partners to leverage a new subscription model that will dramatically simplify their shopping experience, giving businesses greater flexibility in choosing the storage and pricing options that best suit their needs. In addition, Backup Exec customers will soon be able to dynamically and in real-time view data protected through Information Map from Veritas. This level of information will allow companies to meet compliance requirements and drive business forward.
 
An increasing number of small and growing businesses are using the cloud to support their digital transformation initiatives, with software as a service (SaaS) and private cloud accounting for more than 40% of that adoption rate, according to the IDC. Increasing Flexibility Using Veritas Backup Exec with Subscription-Based Pricing
 
With Veritas' new subscription-based licensing options, which are available for one-, two-, or three-year subscription terms, Backup Exec customers will have more choice and greater flexibility when using data protection solutions within of your companies.
 
This subscription model allows companies to optimize their backup costs by choosing the data protection option that best suits their backup needs. As business demands change, you can easily make the necessary adjustments and expand to other subscription licenses. Additionally, while licenses are active, existing customers will have immediate access to product updates and new features.
 
Customers will be able to choose from three available Backup Exec subscription licenses: Bronze, Silver or Gold, depending on their data protection needs.

Equipping Backup Exec Customers with Global Data Visibility
 
The new Information Map integration, available as part of the Information Map in the coming quarters, will give Backup Exec customers a real-time, interactive view of their unstructured data assets. In addition to viewing data protected by Backup Exec, customers who also have Information Map licenses will be able to take advantage of Information Map connectors for viewing data across 23 data sources for both cloud and in-store data storage repositories. situ.
 
Based on this new level of information, customers will be able to make more informed decisions about storage, identify areas of risk and better choose which data to keep, transfer or delete.
