Rodrigo Carril, Chief Compliance Officer at Softline Brazil

Associated with ABES, Softline Brasil, a consulting company and provider of global IT solutions, won in July the certificate of the Compliance Program, the DSC 10,000 (Guidelines for the Compliance System), exclusive registration of the Brazilian Company for Accreditation of Standards of Compliance (EBANC), which has two important purposes: to establish a guide for companies to build their compliance systems, with the minimum requirements to ensure their effectiveness; and be the reference for evaluating an implemented compliance system, serving as a basis for voluntary certification.

To obtain this certification, the Russian company underwent an independent audit process, through which documents were verified and interviews were carried out to prove the effectiveness of internal processes and policies. The certificate is valid for two years.

Rodrigo Carril, Chief Compliance Officer from Softline Brasil, explains that “all existing policies and processes in the company were reviewed and updated, according to the need for certification. This is a regular activity to attest to the adherence of policies and processes to the company's reality and should be carried out periodically”.

According to Carril, with this seal of quality, the company takes the lead, as it is a certification that is still infrequent in Brazil, especially in companies in the segment. "We are the second IT consulting and solutions company in the country to receive such recognition.”, says the executive. He believes that, given the political-economic circumstances of the country and the strategies of the main manufacturers in the world, the topic of Compliance will be even more in vogue and will be fundamental for the continuous evolution of the business.

communication and training

Another important point for this achievement was the training of all employees, who had to participate in general compliance training, as well as receive instructions on any new policy or process. “It is the company's duty to ensure that not only the processes are implemented, but that they are properly communicated and followed by everyone,” added Carril.

And the mobilization processes of the stakeholders did not stop here. Softline informed all its customers and partners about this achievement, registering its commitment to ethics and transparency in the conduct of its business. The company makes its Code of Conduct and Anti-Corruption Policy available on its website, as well as maintaining a whistleblower channel, in accordance with the highest standards of compliance.

As corruption is one of the greatest evils that haunt companies today, the DSC 10,000 Compliance Certification comes to meet the company's needs, becoming a true market differentiator, capable of reaffirming Softline's commitment to best practices in market governance. Rodrigo Carril adds that this certification will show, above all, Softline's seriousness, commitment to ethics and transparency. "It is a value that will be added to our products and services and that will have a strong impact on the company's relationships with its partners, suppliers and customers”, ends.
