Vedacit has open enrollment for its first acceleration cycle within Vedacit Labs. Interested constructtechs can apply until November 11 on the accelerator's website: https://www.vedacitlabs.liga.ventures.
Five startups will be selected. Each one will receive an investment (Seed Money) of R$ 100 thousand, in addition to six months of residency at WeWork in São Paulo, four months of acceleration in partnership with Liga Ventures and the incentive to generate business in the civil construction segment.
The initiative is aimed at projects focused on Digital – including IoT (Internet of Things) sensors, Digital Intelligence (BIM, E-Commerce, CRM, IA) and platforms for the training of bricklayers, applicators, Do It Yourself (DIY) and services for diagnosis, management and monitoring in works. In addition, the company is interested in businesses that offer solutions and new technologies to waterproof water capture and reuse systems, improvement and reduction of construction processes in the waterproofing stages and services to waterproof low-income housing.

Luis Fernando Guggenberger, manager of Innovation and Sustainability at Vedacit, says that the Open Innovation Program is part of a journey of transformation for the company. “We want to contribute to the innovation and construction of this ecosystem for the Brazilian civil construction sector through Construtechs. In the near future, our intention is to offer integrated solutions and not just waterproofing products, especially in the B2B segment. Startups will be key to contributing to our expansion journey.”
For Rogerio Tamassia, co-founder of Liga Ventures, there is a large gap between startups and large companies and it is precisely in this gap that our acceleration programs, such as VedaciLabs, enter. “The idea is to unite Vedacit with small entrepreneurs, allowing new businesses to be created more quickly, but in a controlled manner – with the monitoring and support of the team of acceleration managers and also of our network of mentors”, explains Tamassia.
