Technology is increasingly present in the lives of young people: according to a survey carried out by TIC Kids, 80% of the Brazilian population between 9 and 17 years old has access and uses the internet. But what about when the network goes into the classroom, do technological advances help or hinder? A study carried out on the impact of DreamShaper (https://dreamshaper.com/pt/), online teaching platform that allows the creation of thematic projects in the classroom, proves that the results can be very positive and even impact the relationship between students and teachers.

According to a survey carried out by DataFolha, 96% of teachers believe that the use of technology expands their skills as a teacher and 94% that it helps to incorporate new working methods. The study carried out by Plan, commissioned by the Lemann Foundation, a partner of DreamShaper, evaluated the impacts caused by the use of the tool in the classroom, and points out that 79,49% of elementary and high school teachers who used the platform opened up to new experiences and began researching classroom news. In higher education, the number jumps to 82,46%.

For João Borges, head of sales at DreamShaper, the use of technology in classrooms is inevitable and tends to grow. "Today, young people are already growing up connected, we are dealing with a new student profile. It is necessary to adapt to their needs and offer new study tools, which, in addition to bringing innovation to the school, can combine learning with their personal goals", points out Borges. Currently, the platform is used by more than 60 thousand students around the world.

Teachers interviewed in the Plan survey also point out that the use of DreamShaper technology has improved the relationship between student and teacher in elementary and secondary education by 66.67%, and by 62.28% in higher education. "In addition to promoting a new way of learning for students, educational tools should prioritize teacher didactics without interfering with their classroom format, being an ally in everyday teaching. This can bring students closer to teachers and provide a relationship of better understanding, benefiting both sides", analyzes Borges.
