The use of technology for people management is already a well-known reality in the business sector. It would be no different in the health sector.
An example is Unimed in the municipality of Três Corações, in Minas Gerais, with more than 220 employees at the administrative headquarters and hospital. The adoption of technology was necessary in managing employee vacations. “Our biggest challenge was knowing the vacation limit for employees. It has already happened that we pay fines for lost and expired periods”, reports Cátia Vieira Naves, Manager at Unimed Três Corações.
Vacation processes were carried out using Excel spreadsheets, updated manually. “The employee came to me personally to request vacation. I recorded the requested period in Excel and passed the information to Cátia”, explains Ineres Aparecida dos Santos, Personnel Department Analyst at Unimed Três Corações.
With the growth of the operation and the increase in the number of employees, manual vacation management became unfeasible. To eliminate the use of spreadsheets in the process and reduce the risk of incidents, the Management Panel solution was implemented.
“Today, I can easily see who are the employees whose vacation period has expired and is due. We even customized it and parameterized a view with due dates in the next 90 and 120 days”, says Ineres.
For Cátia, the vacation process at Unimed Três Corações has become more agile and autonomous with technology. “The request comes to me, I evaluate the requested period and, if it is ok, I accept it. After that, the information automatically goes to HR.”
Also according to Ineres, the internal feedback on Senior's solution is also positive. “With the implementation, employees have the autonomy to access information and request vacation time”, he highlights.
Cátia also highlights autonomy as a benefit obtained with the implementation of Senior solutions in the operation. “The autonomy not only to request vacations, but also to view the payroll, access personal data and record time. All point information is recorded, which is great for both sides”, concludes the manager.
