Even if unintentionally, we entered a new era of world unity. As a result of the coronavirus, we are experiencing a moment of heightened attention, care for the other, meticulous new rules of hygiene, physical contact and confinement. And it is precisely this personal distance that unites us in favor of everyone's health, since the main reason for the confinement is precisely not to contract in order not to contaminate. Therefore, the recommendation of the WHO (World Health Organization) is that everyone stay at home.

This scenario challenges us to deal with another important change: the home office every day. Companies all over the world are having to adapt in order not to stop, with that, an infinity of collaborators who had never worked in a remote system had to adhere to the practice, overnight, readjusting their functions and learning to produce from their homes. A real challenge for companies, teams and HR managers.

With this new work model, several other questions came up: how to ensure that employees are working within their hours and measure their overtime? And for those who really need to be physically in their work routines, what can we do to protect them? And, not least, how to do all of this, in compliance with the regulations of Ordinances 1510, which obliges all companies with more than 10 employees to acquire an Electronic Point Recorder, and 373, which inserts new technologies in the practice of controlling the journey of the employees. contributors?

The answer to almost all of these questions is in technology. The technologies that can resolve these issues once and for all already exist and guarantee these adaptations. A good example of this is an application that allows you to register the employee's point from facial recognition, using only your cell phone. Through facial scanning technology and deep learning processing, the app identifies, in fractions of a second, who that collaborator is and where he is, without the need for the device to be connected to the internet. A facility that solves the issues of recording the workload in the remote work model.

There are already solutions that also allow mobility for HR routines. The manager starts to manage his team anytime and anywhere; employees, on the other hand, gain autonomy over their own needs and information, such as payment receipt, income report, vacation request, among others. All of this without the need for any displacement or interaction with the HR team, as the current times call for.

The new global reality requires that the Human Resources departments can, more and more, make flexible, review processes and take care of the health of each of the employees. Face-to-face meetings, which at the moment should be avoided, are being replaced by online meetings.

But that does not mean that we should move away from our personal relationships and friendships that we have at work. Why not set up an afternoon coffee via videoconference with your colleagues at the company? Just don't forget to take your cup to the front of the computer!

Soon we will return to normal life. But we have the opportunity, in this return, to take what we have learned good in that time and rescue what we were unable to do. The balance between the models will be the big key for us, in the future, to be more prepared for a difficult situation like this. And technology can be a great ally. Think about it.
