In 2024, the Brazil Digital Plan 2030+ (BD30+) has established itself as a key initiative to position Brazil at the forefront of global digital transformation. Launched by the Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Commission (CTITD) of the Council for Sustainable Economic and Social Development (CDESS), the plan recently celebrated its first year since it was officially presented in Brasília (DF).
To discuss the progress made and the challenges ahead, a special live event has been scheduled for May 7, 2025, at 10 am. This event, which is free to attend and will be translated into sign language, will bring together important members of the BD30+ governance and management board. Confirmed participants include Laércio Cosentino, Chairman of the Board of Brasscom and Board Member of CDESS; Glória Guimarães, Board Member of CDESS and Former President of SERPRO; Rodolfo Fücher, Vice-Chairman of the Board of ABES and Board Member of CDESS; and Andriei Gutierrez, President of ABES.
BD30+ is structured around six strategic pillars: Digital Infrastructure, Strategic Technologies, Research and Innovation, Digital Education, Digital Social Inclusion and Business Environment. With 27 strategic actions outlined, the project's objective is ambitious: to transform Brazil into a global leader in digital transformation.
The Governance and Management Council responsible for the plan is composed of influential entities such as ABES, Brasscom, CDESS, CIEB, CNI, Febraban and FIESP. In addition, the plan aims to expand its reach with the membership of new organizations, and invites companies, associations and NGOs to institutionally support this initiative.
The live broadcast will offer a unique opportunity to closely follow the progress made so far and hear from the leaders involved how the plan has evolved and will continue to work towards a more digital, inclusive and competitive Brazil on the global stage.
