Among Trimble MEP's novelties, the DPI8 handheld laser scanners will be presented – used in hard-to-reach areas and the TX8 terrestrial laser scanner with a range of up to 120 meters, used to make the “as-Built” extremely necessary for Retrofit. Another novelty are the RPT600 and RTS 873 Total Stations for measuring angles and distance, as well as allocating points, thus ensuring that the project is executed within the planned parameters, quickly and efficiently.
Another novelty will be the new version of Tekla Structures, highlighting a new interface with other programs and a 2D drawing library. BIM (Building Information Modeling) is today the methodology that is improving the processes of the construction sector, keeping the focus on information management. And executable models created with Tekla Structures support more detailed information, better serving the industry by organizing patterns, managing tasks and avoiding structure conflicts, increasing efficiency and productivity.
Engineers, project managers, designers, and other project participants can work on the model simultaneously. Tekla Model Sharing makes it easy to collaborate on modeling projects. With it teams located in different regions and offices can work on the same project, simultaneously. Plus, you can only sync the changes you're working on – not the entire model – and because changes are saved locally and synced when you're online, your work is always secure and up-to-date. Tekla Model Sharing is the only sharing technology that allows execution without relying on an Internet connection.
