Londrina-based company develops technologies that improve safety and reduce fleet operating costs
Trimble announced on Monday, October 8, the acquisition of Veltec, a privately held fleet management company that provides solutions for transportation companies to improve safety and reduce operating costs. Veltec is headquartered in Londrina, in the State of Paraná. The acquisition of Veltec further extends Trimble's fleet safety and efficiency solutions to new global markets. Financial information about the acquisition was not disclosed.

Veltec's fleet mobility platform consists of a combination of in-vehicle devices and back office software to provide greater visibility into driver and fleet performance. Through Veltec solutions, fleets gain access to actionable data that can help reduce accidents, improve individual driver and vehicle performance, and improve fuel economy.
