In search of innovative proposals to fight corruption, promote transparency and simplify information on public spending, the Court of Auditors of the State of São Paulo (TCESP) will promote, on December 9, the Cultural Contest 'Ideias.TCESP 2017 '.

The theme of the competition – aimed at digital entrepreneurs, startups, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), cyber activists and public servants – will be 'Transparency and quality of public spending'. Participants must create a tool that allows for the improvement of external and social control processes, routines and activities.

For this edition, five challenges were launched: providing citizens with information that allows them to monitor the use of public resources; work and display transparency data to facilitate the measurement of spending quality; increase the population's interest in social control; to enhance the detection of illegalities in the contracting of public goods and services based on transparency data and create tools and methodologies for the inspection of resources.
