UNASP was recognized as Company of the Year; award had more than 600 projects registered

The winners of TOTVS Brazil Award that MAKES 2024 were announced on Wednesday (19/06) on the stage of Universo TOTVS, a mega event promoted by TOTVS, the largest technology company in Brazil. In its 3rd edition, the award recognized projects from TOTVS Group clients that, through the use of Management, Business Performance and Techfin solutions, positively impacted business results. The São Paulo Adventist University Center UNASP was the highlight, recognized as Company of the Year, in addition to winning the Educational category.

This edition of the award brought as a novelty the new special category Innovation – Law of Good, created to recognize clients who invest in Research, Development and Technological Innovation (RD&I) activities, through the tax incentive of the Lei do Bem. BBM Logística was the big winner with a project that comprises the development of a digital platform in partnership with TOTVS, which encompasses the pillars of supply and demand management, transport management system and optimization. The project meets the criteria of the Lei do Bem with regard to the progress of science, technology and innovation in Brazil and Mercosur, generating knowledge and meeting compliance and environmental preservation requirements.

In total, there were more than 670 cases registered, from companies from the north to the south of the country, evaluated by committees made up of internal and market experts. The cases registered in the segment categories and in the special HR category were evaluated based on five criteria: digitalization, innovation, operational gain, financial impact and ESG. The projects registered in the Innovation – Lei do Bem category were evaluated on four parameters: innovation, operational gain, financial impact and ESG.

The awards ceremony was led by Diana Rodrigues, director of Marketing and Communication at TOTVS as master of ceremonies, and Alexandre Apendino, vice president of Customer Service and Relationships at TOTVS, and Dennis Herszkowicz, president of TOTVS, who performed the delivery of prizes to the winners. To close with a flourish, the Company of the Year award was presented by Rick Chesther, author of three best-sellers, CEO of Instituto Pega a Visão and speaker at Universo TOTVS 2024.

“I believe that this graduating class managed to do extraordinary things with technology. Even those who didn't take the trophy home should celebrate the victory and continue dedicating themselves to taking it next year. We, as customers, only benefit when companies invest in digitalization with TOTVS systems!”, reinforced Rick Chesther on stage.
