Joining the Movement reinforces the company's commitment to the well-being and mental health of its more than 10,000 people

TOTVS, the largest technology company in Brazil, has made a public commitment to Mind in Focus Movement, of the UN Global Compact-Rede Brasil. The movement aims to engage 1,000 companies with structured mental health programs impacting the lives of 10 million workers, in addition to developing indicators to be met by signatory companies based on the movement's commitments.

“Mental health care is a priority on our people agenda through the +Saudáveis well-being program, in alignment with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being. We have been signatories to the UN Global Compact since 2014 and are happy to join this powerful movement, which encourages organizations to adopt a preventive and humanized approach to the mental health of their people, such an urgent matter. When companies promote this agenda, people are also invited to reflect and recognize the importance of mental health in their lives”, says Vivian Broge, vice president of Human Relations and Marketing at TOTVS.

The Mente em Foco Movement is part of the Ambition 2030 initiative of the UN Global Compact-Rede Brasil, a strategy formed by seven major movements, created to accelerate the goals proposed by the UN's 2030 Agenda. The movements are a call for the private sector to assume public goals for the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Mente em Foco Movement requires signatory companies to fulfill six commitments, such as: having a reference professional for advice and assistance; offering guidance and crisis management; ensuring ongoing evaluation of their professionals; keeping managers engaged; creating an anti-stigma program with the promotion of open debates and group interventions on topics that seek to reduce the stigma related to psychological suffering; and promoting actions to encourage mental health based on identified demands.

Today, TOTVS already addresses these issues through several initiatives, such as subsidizing telepsychology consultations; a specialized psychological support channel for listening and guidance in a confidential and free manner, available to employees and their dependents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; provision of a psychologist in the company's well-being area who works to direct crisis management, in addition to the occasional hiring of specialized professionals according to the situation/crisis presented and brought by the HR area. The company also provides modules on mental health in leadership training programs, so that leaders can look at themselves in relation to the topic and have mechanisms to identify and support their teams based on the best conduct.

“We are a company made by people, for people. That’s why we work as agents of change, building not only a healthier company, but also a more humanized and conscious future for society as a whole. Together, we can create a deep and lasting impact on the lives of millions of workers, where mental health is a priority,” concludes the executive.
