The acquisition is part of TIVIT's cloud strategy and reinforces the company's international presence

TIVIT, a Brazilian multinational and technology one-stop shop, announces the acquisition of XMS, a company focused on cloud services. The operation is part of the strategy to expand the company's portfolio of cloud services, which already represents more than 50% of revenue, in addition to reinforcing the internationalization of TIVIT, which is present in ten Latin American countries.

Working on large cloud consulting projects, XMS was founded in Chile and also has a presence in Bolivia, Peru and Mexico. The company has 140 professionals and has more than 300 clients, highlighting large corporate clients in the financial and mining industry. XMS is one of Microsoft's main partners in Latin America and specializes in supporting customers on their journey to the cloud, application development, cybersecurity, among others. “We are looking not only at startups with innovative products, but also at established companies that help our customers with their most relevant technological challenges. XMS has highly experienced and qualified professionals in designing and implementing cloud solutions, ensuring the ideal mix between scalability, deployment agility and cost”, says Eduardo Sodero, CSO of the company and Head of TIVIT Ventures, a business unit focused on acquisitions. .

XMS is the largest acquisition and the first outside Brazil, after the creation of TIVIT Ventures. The business unit emerged in November 2020 and has R$ 400 million for acquisitions that can take place until 2025. In all, eight companies are already part of the TIVIT Ventures ecosystem, among startups acquired and created within the company.

The founders of XMS will remain in the operation, following the TIVIT Ventures acquisition model. “With all the experience and knowledge of the market that they have, we want them to continue contributing to the growth of the business”, explains Sodero.

According to Juan Carlos Tapia, Alejandro Romero and Claudio Reid Reimann, founders of XMS, the presence of TIVIT América Latina was fundamental for the operation. “We see an opportunity for strategic action using all of TIVIT's know-how to accelerate our expansion in Chile, as well as in other Latin American countries,” says Romero. “Knowing when to look and find a partnership that fits with our vision to continue growing is one of the most important moments in the entrepreneur's journey, and I believe that we found the right partner in TIVIT”, says Reid.
