Brazil was present at the NRF Big Show, the world's largest retail fair, which took place from January 17th to 19th, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York and brought together more than 550 exhibitors from all over the world. The action is part of the project to promote exports in the software and IT services sector, developed in partnership between Softex and Apex-Brasil.

CI&T, Control Informática, Dextra, DP6, e-Trust, Ícaro Tech, Actminds, MC1, MHA Sistemas, PC Informática, Piori, Resource, RZ2, Prime Systems and SER were the fifteen companies selected to participate in the Brasil IT+ pavilion. They brought to the show a diversified portfolio of solutions and services for the retail sector, which includes everything from ERP (Business Management), e-commerce and logistics, to WMS (Warehouse Management), security and digital intelligence.

Participation aims to foster new business opportunities in the international market and strengthen the image of competence of the national software and IT services industry, identified abroad by the Brasil IT+ brand. Today, the 165 companies that make up the Sectorial Project account for almost 1/3 of the total volume of Brazilian exports in the sector.

The profile of chosen companies aims to respond to the trend of omni-channel, which aims to enable the consumer, when interacting with a brand, to verify that there is integration between the online it's the offline. This trend is an evolution of the multichannel concept as it is completely focused on the consumer experience. “Due to the sophistication and demand of the Brazilian retail market, the solutions developed by our companies are already adhering to this new and irreversible market reality”, highlights Softex president Ruben Delgado, adding that the delegation's goal is to expand up to 30% the Brazilian share of the North American retail market in the next five years.

“About 50% of the exports of our companies are aimed at the competitive and demanding North American market, proving the rightness of having chosen the United States as a priority for our actions to promote exports and internationalization carried out in conjunction with Apex- Brazil”, evaluates Guilherme Amorim, manager of the Softex Sector Project.
