Teradata, an analytical solutions company, announced the arrival of Think Big, an advanced Big Data consulting company that intends to bring new answers to the current Brazilian data analysis scenario. Acquired in 2014 by Teradata, Think Big's main activity is the development of analytical architectures based on open source platforms, creation and integration of data lakes among other Big Data engineering services, development and planning of advanced analytical environments.
The company's main objective is to bring its expertise to Brazil, enabling the use of technologies such as Hadoop and Spark, among other open source platforms. For Teradata, the Brazilian market needs to take better advantage of the “open source” wave, without losing sight of the final results. Despite being much discussed around the world, the use of Hadoop, for example, is still little seen in productive environments in Brazilian companies, which ends up limiting the universe of Big Data use and applications.
Think Big started its operations in Brazil in November 2016, offering the company's entire portfolio that meets advanced end-to-end Big Data demands, such as capture management, organization, data migration, and environment architecture and development.
