Tecnosulfur, a SKW Group company, headquartered in Sete Lagoas (MG), active in the steel industry, has automated the control of its operations with the SE Suite from SoftExpert, a supplier of software and services for automation and improvement of business processes. With 120 employees and operations in Brazil and Latin America, the company is one of the leading companies in the treatment of liquid metals and had a turnover of approximately R$ 96 million in 2015.
The company computerized the control of its documents and processes of corrective and preventive action in the Quality system. With this, it reduced the time spent in the activity, the manpower focused on these tasks and improved the performance of the system in audits for the corresponding requirements of the NBR Standard: ISO 9001, eliminating non-conformities.
According to Tecnosulfur's Quality Coordinator, José Eustáquio dos Reis, previously the control and distribution of more than 300 documents was manual and in physical medium, as well as the QMS (procedures, work instructions and specifications of products and raw materials). In addition, the control and processing of non-conformities was also done manually, through the application of paper forms.
“Today we have a greater degree of reliability and availability of information due to the use of the SE Suite, which proved to be extremely important in maintaining our Quality Management System. In addition to practicality and ease of use, the tools available are very well planned and efficient. The available modules are fully integrated with the management standards, which provides much more tranquility for the management of the QMS ”, evaluates Reis.
The SE Action and SE Document modules were implemented, with computerized control (via the web) of non-conformity documents and processes. Approximately 30 users routinely use the tool in the Quality, Projects, Commercial, Purchasing, Production and Maintenance sectors.
According to Rafael de Oliveira Marques, Quality Analyst at Tecnosulfur and user of the system, with the software, the company eliminated several documents in a physical medium and started to better control the occurrence records, bringing greater agility and integration of employees in dealing with unconformities. The implementation of the system at the company was carried out by TNX Brasil, a partnership with SoftExpert.

The next step of the implementation project will be the SE Performance module in support of the company's Target Breakdown Program. It is estimated that 500 indicators will be created from the shareholders to the shop floor operation.
