A reference in the search for the evolution of e-commerce, VTEX, a unified commerce platform and solutions for digital retail, was fundamental to the creation of a strategy that ensured Cobasi - one of the main Pet store chains in the country - to maintain its activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since April, the services Retire in Store and Cobasi in Your Car, guarantee convenience and safety to customers, who within 45 minutes have their orders ready for pickup in 72 physical stores in the chain.

Thanks to the technology available on the VTEX platform, Cobasi launched the solution that won over more consumers in a few months. Whether on the website or via applications, customers find the option to withdraw from the store, after entering the zip code in the shopping cart. Through the use of geolocation, the buyer is informed if his region has the service. If so, the person selects the store of their choice and completes the purchase normally. After payment confirmation, you receive an email indicating when your products can be picked up.

“Cobasi's action proves the plurality of features of the VTEX platform and the company's social responsibility in creating an omnichannel solution that guarantees security for employees and consumers in such a delicate moment for society”, reinforces Rafael Forte, VTEX's country manager in Brazil.

“We were thinking of a delivery method that would guarantee the safety of our customers during the quarantine. The flexibility of the VTEX platform and the agility of our internal team came together to quickly deliver a solution ”, comments Felipe Tamburus, Head of Cobasi Labs.

In the Cobasi In Your Car option - complementary service to Retire in Store, the consumer does not need to get out of the car. Using a mobile device, he informs the color and model of the car and waits for a store employee to take the purchased products to the car.

Platform also made it possible to offer subscription service

Adept of the VTEX platform since 2015, Cobasi has upgraded its subscription system. In the pet market, a large part of sales happens on a recurring basis. Sand, feed and medicines are some items that the consumer buys periodically. To serve this audience in the best way, a subscription service was created, which by means of a recurring payment guarantees consumers that the product used by their pets will never be lacking. The change was only possible thanks to the flexibility of the platform.

Implementing the feature was important to increase audience retention and increase the average ticket in sales. Since the beginning of the solution, the functionalities of the VTEX platform have allowed the improvement of the service, such as the user's autonomy in changing data such as address, date and frequency of shipment, credit card number, among others. In addition to the website, customers can download the app and carry out transactions via mobile device.
