During the 2nd National Forum on Health Products in Brazil, held last month in Brasília, the book “Health 4.0: Proposals to boost the cycle of innovations in Medical Devices (DMAs) in Brazil”, produced by the Aliança Brasileira da Indústria Health Innovator (ABIIS). The document, prepared by experts from various associations representing the medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics segment, brings 25 proposals to boost this sector in Brazil.
 
“The proposals that make up the book Saúde 4.0 that they will help to reduce costs, avoiding waste and unnecessary expenses, in addition to improving hospital quality, with more effective treatments and shorter hospitalization time, especially if we use IT – information technology properly”, said the president of ABIIS, Carlos Eduardo Gouvêa.
 
For Gouvêa, despite the advances in the sector, the country has major issues to resolve and this was the main focus of the book. “Among the obstacles to be solved are the problems of access, the management of physical space and the increase in technologies in basic networks and in hospitals”.
