Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a business solutions, consulting and IT services company, announces that, as a new member of the GE Digital Alliance program created by GE Digital, it will develop innovative digital solutions to increase the productivity of the mobile workforce and assets in motion by exploiting Predix, GE's cloud platform for the Industrial Internet.

This concept of connecting machines with intelligent data creates a new revolution in the global industry by making machinery, people and in-depth analysis of production connected. The Industrial Internet takes place through the fusion of these elements in order to reduce fuel costs in the aerospace sector or reduce the inefficiency of some systems within a company's assembly line, for example.

TCS and GE will work together to create a 'solutions ecosystem' innovative, exploiting all of TCS' business knowledge and digital universe to enrich GE's Predix platform. TCS has already developed IoT solutions on top of the Predix platform, such as systems for analyzing satellite images, monitoring supply chains, forecasting and engine telematics. In addition, TCS has the largest pool of experts trained on the Predix platform and is significantly expanding its global team to support the growth of the Industrial Internet, with more than 1,000 developers to be trained in 2016.

"We see exciting opportunities to leverage our global industry knowledge and tools, enriching GE's Predix platform to drive positive business results for our customers," says Anupam Singhal, vice president, Tata Consultancy Services.

"The new program was also designed to guarantee us the size and scope necessary to promote true and unprecedented growth as well as to certify thousands of developers, implementation professionals and consultants that assure us of a larger ecosystem with qualified technical capacity", concludes Denzil Samuels, global channel and alliance leader at GE Digital.
