Symantec, the world's largest virtual security company, launches in Brazil Symantec Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), the first solution that can detect and correct advanced threats at all control points, from a single console, with just one click. All this without deploying any new endpoint agents.

Advanced threats such as ransomware and remote access trojans, advanced persistent threats (APTs) and zero-day attacks are on the rise, and security professionals can no longer rely on using individual action products at each control point to stop them. . The process of discovering threat data across all endpoints, network and email gateways is manual and time-consuming, giving attackers an advantage. Symantec ATP correlates suspicious activity across all control points and prioritizes events that pose the greatest risk to an organization. Once identified, a critical threat can be quickly contained and new cases can be blocked.

Symantec ATP allows customers to:

• Uncover a full range of threats from APTs to zero-day attacks across endpoints, network and email, with cross-detection of checkpoints and search across environments.

• Prioritize what matters most by correlating threat intelligence across all local control points with everything Symantec sees globally through its massive telemetry.

• Remediate threats quickly through endpoint containment and block new cases at all control points with one click, from a single console.

• Optimize existing investments in Symantec Endpoint Security and Email Security.cloud solutions without deploying any new endpoint agents.

"Security professionals are on constant alert, trying to monitor and prevent the next cyberattack," said Michael A. Brown, president and CEO of Symantec. "With Symantec Advanced Threat Protection, we give customers a complete view of their entire enterprise from a single console. Now they can filter out the noise and quickly discover and remediate an attack."

Noise reduction for Symantec ATP customers comes in a few ways. First, Symantec's significant global threat intelligence combined with local customer data provides organizations with a more accurate view of which threats pose the greatest risk within their infrastructure. In addition, Symantec ATP includes Symantec CynicTM , a new cloud-based virtual environment service to discover and prioritize today's most advanced threats. The solution also includes SynapseTM, a cross-checkpoint correlation capability that collects suspicious activity across endpoints, networks and email to prioritize those that are most at risk to the organization.
