Online workshop takes place on January 30th

The use of open source — a software model that allows programmers to collectively change functionalities or contribute new features to an application — is already a widely adopted reality in organizations across a range of sectors.

As one of the most fundamental tools available in the world, open source code undergoes new updates and inspections every day that require highly trained professionals. With this in mind, SUSE, a global leader in innovative, reliable and secure open source business solutions, is holding a workshop on Kubernetes management and implementation on January 30th. The event, which will be held online and completely free of charge, is aimed at technology and programming professionals seeking training.

“We know the benefits of open source for companies, especially because it eliminates dependence on proprietary tools. That’s why SUSE holds monthly update meetings. We are very happy to promote webinars with high-quality content for technology professionals and those interested in the area,” explains Marcos Lacerda, Latin America General Manager at SUSE.

Check out the webinar schedule below

On the 30th, from 9:30 am to 12 pm, the “Rancher Rodeo: Hands-on Kubernetes Workshop” Targeted at DevOps and IT teams. During the hands-on workshop, participants will provide an introduction to Rancher, Docker, and Kubernetes, and then walk through the steps to deploy a Kubernetes cluster. Participants must have a basic working knowledge of Docker to apply. Training sessions will be delivered using an interactive, web-based tool called HobbyFarm. This tool allows you to access computing resources through an in-browser terminal while following along with prepared learning scenarios.
