Certification ensures that the company practices best practices
in technology service management

Stefanini, a Brazilian multinational with 28 years of experience in the IT sector, has just announced the achievement of ISO 20,000, a certification that focuses on IT service management, ensuring that companies exercise best practices in technology service management.

According to Bráulio Lalau de Carvalho, Stefanini vice president, ISO 20,000 certification demonstrates Stefanini's commitment to providing quality services to its customers. "The teams worked hard to develop the processes and put them into practice in our offices. We are proud of this result, even more when it comes to a respected certification such as ISO 20,000”, says Carvalho.

The ISO 20,000 certification ensures that the Brazilian multinational uses the best service management practices. “With this, our customers know that we have an IT service management framework containing policies, processes, guides, tools and a continuous training program”, says Washington Souza, executive manager of the PMO and governance area.

Among the main benefits that certification brings to Stefanini is the increase in the quality of services provided and cost reduction. There are more than 200 requirements that companies that want to have this certification must follow. It is also important that the company is formally compliant with ITIL. ISO 20,000 is a certification of the ISO family, being recognized worldwide. When it comes to managing IT services, this is the most respected certification.

ISO 20,000 was implemented by Stefanini's governance area in three units in the state of São Paulo and covers AMS – Application Management Services and ITO – IT Outsourcing services. “Implementing ISO 20,000 generates more business for us, as we become more competitive and are able to deliver more value to our customers with cost and quality reductions”, concludes Souza.

Present in 34 countries, its service offering includes Consulting, Integration, Solution Development and Outsourcing for Applications and Infrastructure; and even BPO for business processes. Recognized worldwide, Stefanini is among the 100 largest IT companies in the world (BBC News) and was named the fourth most internationalized transnational company, according to a ranking by Fundação Dom Cabral.
