Within the outsourcing options of the IT infrastructure, the model of colocation data center is expected to grow in Brazil. This is the perspective of the startup Odata, a company in the Pátria Investimentos portfolio, one of the main investment managers private equity From Latin America. In this format, client companies maintain their own equipment at the provider's facilities, taking advantage of modern telecommunications, electricity, property security and network resources, among other technical aspects.
And, to present its differentials, Odata participated, between October 24th and 27th, 2016, at the Gartner Symposium / ITxpo 2016, at WTC Events, in São Paulo. According to Rodrigo Contrera, the company's sales manager, the startup's business plan is based on several market studies, which allow us to say that it does not exist player similar in Brazil.
The company's first data center startup it is under construction in the city of Santana do Parnaíba (SP), with a strategic location next to the main economic center of the country. Your project, with Uptime Tier III certification, will meet the highest standards of energy efficiency and connectivity, offer high energy density environments, ready to receive cloud robust, will have cooling systems for critical environments with redundancy, as well as complex and automated security and control processes, among other technical characteristics.
“This data center will start operating in March 2017 and we already have several contracts agreed. We have the conditions to serve medium and large companies, cloud providers, developers with a focus on the cloud and the financial market, among other company profiles ”, highlighted Contrera.
The executive also informed that Odata already has a second data center in the design phase, located in Bogotá (Colombia), and with studies in progress for sites in Santiago (Chile), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and Recife (PE) , a strategy that shows that the startup is already born with a perspective of regional action, in different countries in Latin America.
Within its market strategy and presentation of its services, Odata has already confirmed its presence at DatacenterDynamics Converged Brasil 2016, event that happens between the days November 8 and 9, in the city of São Paulo.
