Startup Farm Announces Ahead | IBM Watson, in partnership with IBM Brazil. “This edition seeks companies that can use the most advanced in cognitive and/or blockchain solutions to transform the markets in which they operate, regardless of whether the market is agribusiness, retail, finance or education, as examples”, comments Alan Leite , CEO of Startup Farm.

10 startups capable of using artificial intelligence and/or blockchain in their businesses will be selected. All selected companies will go through three modules with specific focuses: Laser focus, for founders to work on building their business model; Get Sales Done, in which the startup will work on building a sales strategy and defining the main performance metrics for your business; and Fundraising, with the objective of supporting accelerated companies in structuring a fundraising strategy, drawing up a projection of capital needs and which investors make sense for their business.

“Cognitive platforms and blockchain have the power to promote a real revolution in the society we live in. For IBM, it is a pleasure to work with Startup Farm and carry out programs such as Ahead, which increasingly democratize intelligent technologies and allow entrepreneurs to use them as a tool for transformation and business creation”, says Marcelo Porto, President of IBM Brazil .

Through the IBM Bluemix cloud platform, startups will have access to IBM Watson cognitive computing services to use in their projects. Today, there are more than 15 artificial intelligence services, in addition to Blockchain APIs – which certify transactions from all market segments. The IBM collaboration enables access to Bluemix through IBM's Global Entrepreneur Program (GEP), which will award credits of up to U$ 120,000 over a one-year period.

IBM executives will be able to establish business and product mentorships for selected startups. In addition, IBM technicians and technology specialists will also be able to assist them in the development of their solutions.

“Six years ago, IBM opened the door to the ecosystem of entrepreneurs and developers through the Global Entrepreneur Program – GEP, and the Ahead | IBM Watson is another step in IBM's commitment to offering its main technologies to startups, starting their projects with a powerful competitive advantage, such as Watson's cognitive applications", says Renata Favale Zanuto, leader of Developer Ecosystem and Startups.

Ahead Subscriptions | IBM Watson runs until July 2nd through the Startup Farm website (http://aceleracao.startupfarm.com.br/).
