There are about 50 vacancies available for national and foreign companies

Start-Up Brasil opened on Tuesday (1st) registrations for the second round of selection of technology-based start-ups, to be accelerated by the program. The deadline for submitting proposals is November 19.

There are 50 vacancies available for Brazilian and international startups with up to three years of incorporation. The operation follows the same format as the first round, launched in April, in which 56 companies were selected.

For nationals, registrations must be made through call no. 11, of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq/MCTI). Foreign companies must apply through the public notice issued by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

Results must be announced on December 16th and approved proposals must receive support from January 6th, 2014. Selected projects can obtain grants of up to R$ 200,000 and must be inducted by one of the program's nine accelerators.

Start-Up Brasil is a federal government program, created by MCTI to bring together a group of actors and institutions in favor of technology-based entrepreneurship. The initiative is part of the Strategic Software and Information Technology Services Program (TI Maior).
