– Samir Chuffi takes over as Business Unit Director and will manage the partnership with Microsoft in the Brazilian market
– SoftwareOne considers Copilot, Generative AI, Managed Services and FinOps to be the biggest business bets for 2024
The recent launch of Microsoft Copilot and the rise in the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence by companies, stimulated the SoftwareOne, a global leader in software and cloud solutions, to create an exclusive Business Unit for Microsoft. To manage the partnership in Brazil, Samir Chuffi takes over as Microsoft Business Unit Director and has the mission of strengthening the relationship and structuring, locally, the entire service, marketing, pre-sales and positioning strategy of SoftwareOne before Big Tech and the market.
Chuffi brings together 25 years of experience, including 15 years in engineering, product, sales and management roles at companies such as Dedalus, Vivo, Telefonica Digital, Oi and Huawei. At SoftwareOne, he began his career in 2020 and served as Solutions Sales Specialist Lead and Regional Growth Leader Azure & AS LATAM.
Eronides Júnior, Chief Operating Officer at SoftwareOne Brasil, explains that Chuffi's position is strategic and cross portfolio and, therefore, has synergy with all areas of the company when the topic is Microsoft. “We thus envision accelerating our partnership with the company, in order to broadly support our customers in implementing robust solutions that are highly compliant with the demands of the sector, especially through Copilot and also managed services (Managed Services)”, he states.
Business with SAP and AWS
In addition to Microsoft, SoftwareOne also invested in the relocation of Jairo Pedroza, who now takes over as SAP Business Unit Director to Brazil to lead the SAP Business Unit. With more than 24 years of experience in the SAP ecosystem, Pedroza has a solid track record, having worked as SAP Solution Architect at HP and co-founding ITST in 2007, a Premium SAP services and solutions consultancy, renowned in Brazil and Latin America. Since 2021, he has been a member of the SoftwareOne team, where he has stood out in matters related to SAP services and solutions.
“With SAP, our focus this year is supporting customers on their migration journey to SAP Rise in the main Hyperscalers (large providers) in Brazil, such as Microsoft, AWS and Google. This new SAP solution contracting model enables the adoption of new technologies in a more agile and scalable way, positioning your company to meet the dynamism and demands of the market”, highlights Junior.
As for AWS, Dario Kamada continues his work started last year as AWS Business Unit Director. “The executive’s mission for 2024 is to support customers in optimizing their experience, generating new business and, mainly, developing our base, focusing on application modernization”, explains Junior.
Dario has worked with technology for over 25 years and has worked with AWS projects since 2018, which has given him great expertise. At SoftwareOne, the professional has been working for three years, starting as Business Development Manager, then moving on to Enterprise Account Manager and being head of the AWS BU in Brazil, since May 2023.
In view of the company's great movement in optimizing its main partnerships and to accelerate the customer portfolio coverage rate, SoftwareOne also added Rodrigo Regazzo to the team, who takes over as Enterprise Sales Director for Brazil. Graduated in Corporate Marketing from Mackenzie, with an MBA in Business Administration from FGV and IBMEC, Regazzo has more than 30 years of experience, having worked at Logicalis & Kumulus, Patria Investments, Symantec, CA, Microsoft, McAfee
For Eronides Júnior, Regazzo's position is extremely important for the company's business. “With his arrival, we expect to increase around 60% of our business with base customers in the coming years. To this end, our main objective is to invest in depth and laterality, so that customers increase their share of revenue with us”, he highlights.
In this way, Eronides Júnior reiterates that SoftwareOne's business priorities for this year are Copilot and Generative AI, Managed Services and Finops, cloud financial management.
New bets
In addition to strengthening its partners and customer base, SoftwareOne has also invested in the creation of an area known globally as Marketplace, created by solution architects to offer small deliveries from multiple suppliers (Multivendor), such as VMware and IBM, Veeam, Adobe and Quest, going through several layers of solutions involving environments: on-premise, hybrid, cloud native or multi-cloud, bringing virtualization, governance, security, in addition to FinOps, like Flexera.
To this end, the company placed Eduardo Castro at the head of the project, Multivendor Business Unit Director, who brings together solid experience in technology companies and has been at SoftwareOne since 2022, where he previously served as Business Development Executive. Júnior comments that the area's proposal is to go beyond software resales. “From now on, we also started to incorporate a portfolio of services integrated with the resale of this software”, he says.
Another of the company's bets is on verticalization. At this moment, according to Júnior, the proposal is being designed for the Retail and Agribusiness areas. “This is a pilot project so that we can start working with our customers in a segmented way. We direct professionals to the field so that they understand the nuances of each industry and, thus, we can adapt our portfolio to the needs of each sector. Our aim is to increasingly bring depth and understanding of our clients’ business to support them with tailored solutions”, he concludes.
