Software AG is expanding its partnership with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) provider, Kryon Systems, with a technology licensing and distribution agreement. The partnership merged Software AG's webMethods Dynamic Apps with Kryon Systems' Leo RPA platform, enabling automation from the desktop to back-end systems.

According to Wolfram Jost, Global CTO at Software AG, RPA makes the webMethods Dynamic Apps platform capable of automating human interactions with applications in a simple and easy to use manner. "We are excited about the possibilities of RPA that will expand the automation capabilities of digital processes, in addition to providing the best in this area for the user".

RPA offers a new “virtual workforce” of “robot” software to help automate repetitive manual tasks and processes, enabling people to focus on more complex jobs. Visually configurable and easy to implement, there is no need for deeper integration or coding to change the underlying processes and requires a relatively low initial investment.

According to Harel Tayeb, CEO of Kryon Systems, with this partnership, the two companies are creating the future of workplaces, where “robots” and humans will interact and operate seamlessly, executing processes and passing tasks from one to the other. "Together we are allowing companies to implement a true digital transformation", he added.

Analysts predict that in just three years, RPA will be a billion-dollar market, with 40% from major global organizations using this technology to automate their processes. As an example, about 65% of the work done by shared services departments can be reduced through automation.

The benefits of RPA include:

• Increased efficiency and productivity;

• Higher level of accuracy and fewer errors;

• Flexibility and scalability to add and change processes as needed;

• Compliance - business rules and regulations are embedded in the processes;

• Cost savings - reduces operating costs and increases throughput.
