The Russian company Softline acts as a specialist in offering Licensing, Cloud Computing, Digital Transformation, Information Security, Software Asset Management, Hardware, Unified Communications and IT Specialist Services. Founded in 1993, it is one of the leading global companies in the provision of Technology solutions, consolidating knowledge and experience in providing services in more than 50 countries and in 95 cities worldwide, with a focus on emerging countries and has more than US$ 1 billion global billing.

Present in Brazil since 2014, Softline is an ABES associate and recently announced the appointment of Eduardo Borba as the new CEO of the Brazilian subsidiary, based in São Paulo. The hiring is seen as strategic for the Russian multinational, which is in the midst of business transformation. Borba, who brings together expertise in managed services, one of the paths the company wants to follow, has solid experience in the sector, as he left the presidency of Sonda IT in December 2017, after nearly ten years of career in that organization.

To talk about the company's new plans in Brazil, Borba gave an exclusive interview to the ABES Portal:

How important is Brazil to Softline's global strategy, given that the company only started operating in the country in 2014?
Softline focuses on emerging markets, where Brazil is one of the most relevant. Despite its young age, the Brazilian operation is already the company's largest outside Russia. Expanding the volume of business in Brazil will have a direct impact on the company's overall results.

In addition to being one of the ten largest consumer markets for IT solutions and services in the world, Brazil is home to the largest global companies with great sophistication in their business models. The demand for technology presents an expanding trend and an interesting challenge for us.

What are the company's objectives when offering products and services with greater added value to the market?
Softline seeks to maintain long-term partnerships, in which technology and services properly applied can drive the success of our customers' businesses. The goal is to connect our customers with the best technology-based solutions for their business and, throughout the lifecycle, monitor the best use and bring innovations. In this sense, the greatest value perceived by customers comes from the convergence of more than one trend, such as IoT together with information security.

What will be the company's three main business areas in Brazil?
We can highlight: software asset management, Information Security and Digital Transformation. We consider 2018 as a year of important transformations for Softline, which is investing in the expansion of its portfolio of higher added value offerings in order to expand our operations with customers present in Brazil. My mission at Softline is directly linked to projects to expand our operations in the Brazilian market.
