Global Connection Schedule was divided into eight meetings 

Between November 11 and December 9, Softex will promote the first edition of Global Connection, a virtual international business mission bringing together Brazilian companies and startups from Brazil, Canada, Portugal and Colombia.

“Over the course of eight meetings, our goal is to connect these four ecosystems and help participants to start their activities in the international market”, explains Ana Pires, internationalization manager at Softex, anticipating the intention of realizing - next year - other editions involving different countries and opportunities.

The program includes free presentations on opportunities to access public and private investments, contact with executives from international incubators and virtual acceleration programs, guidance on starting a business and obtaining visas, as well as connection with international companies, institutions and ecosystems, among others. other topics.

The list of speakers includes Etelvina Nabais, coordinator of IAPMEI - Institute of Support to Small and Medium Enterprises and Innovation; António Bob Santos, of ANI - National Innovation Agency of Portugal; Nuno Moreno, from Startup Lisboa; Carlos Soares Lopes, CEO of Startup Madeira; Mateo Molina Rodríguez, of the Cooperation and Inversion Agency of Medellín; Eliza Fiuza, Project Manager and Foreign Investment at Montreal International; Miryam Lazarte, CEO of LatAm Startups; Regina Noppe, CEO of Dream2B; Mariana Gomes, technology project manager at Apex-Brasil; and Ruben Delgado, president of Softex.

The executive arm of public policies in the ICT sector, Softex develops a series of actions to foster innovation at the national level. Currently, more than 6,000 startups and 500 mentors are part of the entity's base, which has an exclusive accelerator and 19 more partners, in addition to 51 accredited ICTs. More than 600 startups have already received investments through the various programs managed by Softex.

Ecosystem with many opportunities for Brazilian companies - With Medellín as one of the most entrepreneurial and innovative cities in the world, Colombia offers many facilities for starting a business and connecting with the United States.

The same is true for Canada, which has a differentiated ecosystem, with many Fintech's in Toronto and a large Artificial Intelligence center in Montreal.
