The objective is to help companies that want to export

To meet the demand of Brazilian IT companies interested in seeking new spaces abroad for their software products and IT services, Softex is launching the Market Analysis series covering the international markets that have the greatest potential to receive “made in Brazil”. The initiative takes place within the scope of the project to promote exports in the software and IT services sector, developed in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

“The lack of information about foreign markets is highlighted as the main difficulty by around 70% of companies that seek our support in the internationalization process”, explains Guilherme Amorim, manager of the International area at Softex.

Throughout this year, 16 reports were produced, including one covering the Latin American region, which presents strong demand due to cultural similarities. Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Argentina are markets that are very receptive to Brazilian IT, each with its own characteristics.

“Identifying these peculiarities increases the probability of success when a Brazilian company arrives in a new country. In the case of Chile, for example, there is strong demand generated by the various bilateral agreements signed by the country, which makes it an excellent base for other markets. Furthermore, Chile is also very receptive to government sales”, explains Guilherme Amorim, adds Amorim.

North America and Europe, two other regions that can absorb Brazilian IT production, are also part of the Market Analysis series. “Any interested company can have access to the summarized version and, if they want more detailed information, they can join the Project”, adds Amorim, remembering that the reports are produced based on exclusive information from the main global research institutes such as Gartner, Euromonitor and Forrester, aligned with the primary data collected and analyzed by the Project's own technical staff.

Today, companies in the Softex/Apex-Brasil Sector Project account for 45% of exports from Brazil's software and services sector. Currently made up of 202 companies, its priority target markets are the United States, Colombia, Chile and Mexico.

The Project offers a series of benefits to members in addition to qualified information about target markets, such as commercial advice abroad, participation in international fairs and events, support in obtaining financing for export and in issues such as trademark and software registration. , location, installation of subsidiaries and legal aspects.
