The Association for the Promotion of Excellence in Brazilian Software – Softex announces the opening of its office in Singapore, an action that integrates the Sectorial Project for Exporting Software and IT Services, developed in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex -Brazil). The proposal is to generate business opportunities for Brazilian companies in the Asian market and also in the Middle East.

“Since 2001, Softex has organized trade missions and institutional events in Asia and has maintained a virtual office in Tokyo for four years. But Singapore's privileged geographic location will enable us to gain significant gains in identifying demands and exploring business opportunities in both Southeast Asia and Central Asia, Asia Pacific and the Middle East”, highlights Hélio Ciffoni, manager of the Softex Asia office. He recalls that the ASEAN Economic Community market – Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia – has been growing at an average annual rate above 6%.

“For more than a year, we have been in contact with the three main IT federations in Myanmar – that of IT professionals, that of computing and that of the software industry – who are interested in learning about Brazilian offers in the area and taking the MPS assessment .BR for that country”, completes Ciffoni.
