This is Sistemas Seguros, a member of ABES, which is betting on the growth of this segment of the ICT sector, “because there is an important part of the market that has not yet computerized its processes”, explains Fernando Rodrigues, CEO of the company. The executive gave an interview to our portal about his software and business strategy, which you can check out below:
 
1 - What are the main solutions that the company offers for the insurance market?
Our product portfolio comprises the COL system, which is a pioneering software on the market that allows you to organize, structure and gather all processes and data on a single platform. Available in PRO, STD and FAST versions, this software manages the complete insurance brokerage. With the COL Mobile application, both the broker and its clients can, at any time through their smartphones, get your insurance information quickly and conveniently. Just install the app through Google Play or Apple Store.
 
We also have COL Multicálculo, a tool that automatically calculates insurance with up to 15 insurers, simultaneously, in less than 1 minute. This solution brings speed and efficiency to the insurance quote process, whether they are auto, motorcycle, truck and home insurance.
 
COL BI (Business Intelligence) is one of the most innovative solutions we have on the market. It is a business intelligence software that allows an analysis of the broker's performance. In fact, Sistemas Seguros is the only software company for brokerage firms with integrated BI. 
 
We also offer electronic signature, this solution allows the signing of contracts in just one click. In addition to being efficient, it is a sustainable alternative that generates a positive cost benefit for our customers.
 
two - How has the adoption of these solutions been by insurance companies, or does Sistemas only focus on the insurance brokerage segment?
Our target audience is insurance brokers from the five regions of the country. What we have noticed is that the fact that we offer a flexible solution, we have reached the most diverse sizes of companies, from the self-employed professional, who seeks to undertake and grow, to large local corporations, multinationals and banks.
 
3 - What are the main trends in the software industry for the insurance industry?
All companies in all sectors are looking to simplify, organize and make their processes more efficient, reduce their costs and increase their sales. This is no different in the insurance market. Technology has revolutionized the means of securing insurance and cloud applications provide ease of integration and access to software anywhere via the web.

In the coming years, with the arrival of autonomous cars, the Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, artificial intelligence, among other innovations, the insurance market will transform even more and software will be the great integrators of it all.
 
 
4 - Does the company operate in any other country or only in Brazil? If you don't work in other countries yet, do you have any internationalization projects?
Currently, our focus is the domestic market, although we have already carried out work abroad, as some of our clients are multinational companies. However, these were very specific and punctual cases. As for internationalization, it is not yet part of our strategic planning, but we always follow what is happening outside the country to have it as a reference or as an opportunity for the business.
 
 
5 - Can you briefly tell the story of the company and its marketing channels?
The company was created in 1991 by our founding partner Silvio Gardin and, later, the corporate structure was expanded with my entry and the participation of our CTO, Marco Antonio Chiarelli. We used the name Broker Tecnologia and were pioneers in creating the first complete software for managing insurance brokers. In 1999, the company changed its name to Sistemas Seguros. Our headquarters are in the city of São Paulo, the main financial and business center in the country.
 
Our products are sold by our own sales team. Two strengths that we place as a sales aggregator are: a well-directed and effective marketing work, in addition to very reliable and stable products, which makes the market see us as a great player of the segment. As a result, we are able to obtain numerous referrals from very satisfied customers, who end up being our partners in this growth process.
 
 
6 - How was Sistemas Seguros' participation in Insurtech Connect 2017, which took place in October in the USA?
We had the opportunity to participate in what is the largest technology event in the sector in the world. Our objective was to follow the main trends presented, so that we could position ourselves to bring them to the national market. The information acquired was of great value and, certainly, much of what we are seeing in the world, we are already working here to implement it in our market. Our trip to the United States also included a visit to technology companies in Silicon Valley, business partners and universities to learn about the best solutions in insurance software and information technology, in order to ensure even more competitiveness for our customers.
 
7 - What are the company's prospects for 2018?
We believe that our segment will continue to grow, as there is an important part of the market that has not yet computerized its processes. In fact, the implementation of technology in insurance brokerages is a matter of survival for the companies themselves. Those who want to remain in the market and compete on an equal footing with large groups must rely on a computerized management system that is reliable, stable, intelligent and complete, and we are able to deliver this to our customers.
