The Startups Map, an online mapping system for startups, accelerators and investors, was launched on the internet by the Startup Project Maringá with the support of Sebrae in Paraná and the Arranjo Produtivo Local APL de Software de Maringá, and will be officially presented to the TIC at Ticnova, an event that takes place from the 5th to the 7th of August in Maringá-PR.

“We want to bring together in one place all startups, incubators, accelerators, investors, coworking, events agenda and Brazilian consulting companies. Thus, people interested in the segment find it much easier to find information, establish contacts, foster ideas and promote business”, explains Fausto Sperandio, member of Startup Maringá. “Currently, there are fragmented maps in Brazil, in cities or states, and this makes it difficult to access information. Our intention is to compose a database for consultation that contains all companies in the sector existing in the country”, he highlights.

Sebrae consultant in Paraná, Érica Cristina Sanches, says that startups are becoming popular in the Northwest region of Paraná, although the new business model, characterized by an original and innovative idea, is already a worldwide trend in entrepreneurship. “Ticnova and the mapping should encourage even more dissemination of this market, which has grown a lot in Brazil”, he informs.

Ticnova takes place from the 5th to the 7th of August. The program, which includes lectures, workshops and short courses, is divided into three themes: Startup Trail, Innovation Trail and Integration Trail. Those interested in learning about this and other projects should access the website www.ticnova.com.br and register for the event. More information about the mapping can also be obtained at Sebrae in Paraná, by calling (44) 3220-2474.
