The accelerator Sevna Startups, headquartered at Supera Parque de Inovação e Tecnologia in Ribeirão Preto (SP), and which currently has a portfolio of 9 startups valued at R$ 22.7 million, has applications open until June 30th for the fourth cycle of its startup acceleration program.

Eight startups will be selected to undergo the acceleration process that will take place between September 2017 and March 2018. The accelerator, created by a group of entrepreneurs from the IT segment and other areas, offers mentoring, training, infrastructure, technology tools and survival money in addition to the networking and experience of the founders themselves.

“This new acceleration cycle is a direct reflection of the success of the initial program and the evolution of the accelerator itself and the startups”, says João Paulo Geroldo, CEO of Sevna. One of the main changes in Sevna 2.0, in addition to the increase in the number of accelerated startups, is the classification of companies in two aspects within the program: validation and growth.

For early stage projects, the program maintains the main focus on product validation and team qualification for startup consolidation. The package of advantages for this stage offered during the acceleration is valued at R$ 400 thousand, plus the survival money value of R$ 30 thousand.

The novelty of this cycle is the acceleration of companies at an advanced stage, which already have validated products or services, with the objective of helping to structure the process of growth and sales expansion of the products/services of these startups. Acceleration with a focus on growth is based on the sales machine methodology and may include the internationalization of the startup through agreements with accelerators in other countries. The perks package for growing companies is valued at R$ 400,000, with a further R$ 150,000 in survival money.
