For those who are thinking of investing in drones for commercial use, DroneShow's general director, Emerson Granemann, has some tips:
1) Know the regulation of the drone industry. That way you will know what can and cannot be done. Since May 2017, ANAC has published a special regulation for the use of drones in Brazil. Did you know, for example, that all equipment must be registered with the Agency? And that for them to fly less than 30 meters from people, a permit is needed? Pay attention to the rules.
2) Study the sector's production chain. Discover that today, more important than manufacturing a drone is to develop technologies that present solutions to customer problems;
3) Study current applications and research where there are gaps to be filled. In agriculture, for example, it has been used for the most diverse functions, such as accurately monitoring the chemical, physical or biological conditions of the soil and the climate of rural areas, detecting problems in plantations, and more recently for spraying. This has been a feature that has been used a lot in the last year.
4) Stay tuned for unconventional applications. Did you know that drones are already being used in firefighting and even as lifeguards on beaches? These are solutions that have emerged in recent years and have made the equipment indispensable even to save lives.
5) Participate in events in the area in Brazil and abroad, such as the DroneShow, which is one of the largest in Latin America, as it presents the great news in the sector. The Fair brings together national and international exhibitors of the segment, manufacturers, importers and service providers. In parallel to the fair, there are courses, seminars and debates on legislation, entrepreneurship, use of drones in agriculture, inspection of works, security, professional filming, topography and mapping. 6) Understand that drones are nothing more than a new information collection platform increasingly accessible to the population. So there are many applications;
7) Stay especially tuned for drone freight transport solutions. In Brazil, boxes weighing up to 2 kg account for about half of the deliveries from e-commerces, not counting deliveries from the food sector. This opens up a great possibility for the performance of drones. In the world it is already being used a lot. Organizations such as Doctors Without Borders are already studying transporting biological samples for examinations using drones, as they are not subject to delays due to traffic, for example. In Madagascar, drones have already taken medicine to villages located in the middle of dense forests. Amazon and Google plan to deliver their orders, the famous delivery, through drones.
