Serasa Experian, in partnership with Gerando Falcões, is providing 316 free 100% scholarships to low-income young people aged between 18 and 29 who want to enter the technology and data market. To the Applications open on August 21st, with vacancies reserved exclusively for residents of favelas of the indicated age, who are attending or have completed high school in a public institution or privately on a scholarship.
In this round of the project, three regions will be covered: the city of Belém, in Pará, will receive 100 scholarships, in Fortaleza, in Ceará, 96 scholarships will be offered and in the region of Florianópolis, in Santa Catarina, 120. sign up through the website www.serasaexperian.com.br/transformese and those who participate in the program will receive a monthly allowance of R$ 500.
The program will be face-to-face, taught at a Senac unit belonging to each region and will last 260 hours divided into two phases, covering basic computing, programming logic and systems programming. In addition, the selected young candidates will have career mentoring with Serasa Experian professionals, personalized social and pedagogical support, Senac certification at the end of the course and support for entering the market.
The initiative is part of Transform Yourself Program from Serasa Experian, which has been in existence for 2 years and aims to develop vulnerable people in the programming area, a sector that only grows and generates job opportunities. The project, in addition to the regions contemplated now, has already taken place in São Paulo, capital and interior, in Rio de Janeiro and in the Federal District.
The executive manager of Sustainability at Serasa Experian, Paulo Gomes, comments that entering the job market is an arduous process for young people, especially for those who have not had the opportunity to receive adequate training. “We want to transform the lives of young people in the favela through education, breaking barriers to reduce inequality. We will have a complete approach, with consistent technical content, human development and differentiated attention for each individual, ensuring that they can make the most of the opportunity. In the end, these young people will be able to work in any company or technology area”.

How will Transform Yourself work?
- Free scholarship 100% to study with the Senac methodology.
- Hours: up to 260 hours, from 1 to 6 months of face-to-face classes (depending on location) in the afternoon or evening.
- In Pará, it will be held in the city of Belém, at Senac – Rua Aristides Lobo, 1058. Neighborhood: Reduto. (Corner with Rua Benjamin Constant) – CEP: 66017-010.
- In Ceará, it will be held in the city of Fortaleza, at Senac – Av. Tristão Gonçalves, 1245 – Centro – Fortaleza – CE – CEP: 60015-000.
- In Santa Catarina, it will be taught in the city of Florianópolis, at Senac – Rua Silva Jardim, 360 – Centro – CEP: 88020-200.
- The first module will address topics on Basic Computing and Programming Logic with a duration of 60 hours. The second will focus on Systems Programming, lasting 200 hours.
- Mentorship with professionals from Serasa Experian.
- Scholarship for students of up to R$ 500 per month.
- Individualized social and pedagogical support.
- There will be 316 grants in total, 120 for Santa Catarina, 96 for Ceará and 100 for Pará. registrations they will be open until the 15th of September and classes will start on the 23rd of October.

This is the fourth edition of the program, which has already offered 832 scholarships in total. The first edition was exclusively for women throughout Brazil, the second for low-income youth in São Carlos and the third focused on people with disabilities. In less than 6 months after the course, more than 2/3 of the beneficiaries found employment in the area or increased income. It is estimated that in Brazil alone in the next five years, we will have a shortage of more than 800,000 IT professionals, “that is, the career opportunities in technology are immense”, reinforces the Serasa Experian executive.
