Interactive map uses gamification tools to introduce the company to new employees; tool is accessible for people with disabilities
Serasa Experian has developed a new onboarding program for employees who join the company. Using gamification, an interactive map presents the business areas, while reinforcing important messages about the company's culture and values for everyone, regardless of position. The tool is fully accessible, integrating a screen reader for people with visual impairments.
The interactive map has mandatory and optional training, which allows the employee to accumulate points. Some activities, such as questionnaires, increase the score if they are completed first. At each stage, the person conquers badges and unlocks a keyword, which will form an important sentence at the end of the immersion, which reinforces the company's mission. The leaders still follow an additional trail on the journey, with information about their roles and responsibilities.
“We seek to improve the experience of new employees, which is why we create an environment in which they can follow an immersion journey at Serasa Experian in an interactive way. That is why it was so important that we also build an accessible tool, so that everyone could enjoy learning in the same way ”, comments the Vice President of Human Resources at Serasa Experian, Flávio Balestrin.
With the immersion program, the person knows what his schedule will be in the first days of the company. The initial conversations take place with the Human Resources team and other corporate areas, such as Compliance and Diversity and Inclusion. A welcome kit with t-shirt, notebook and other items is shared in the process of receiving the new employee. Then, the person accesses the interactive map and has fifteen days to complete it.
“The pandemic accelerated the changes that were already being made in the onboarding process and that are now becoming definitive, aligned with the digitalization of Serasa Experian”, concludes Balestrin.
