With success stories in Brazil and Colombia, Sensedia is a key player in API standardization and enabling Open Finance in Latin America. In Chile, the Participant Directory is a platform that allows users to search, consult, and update participants authorized in the System.

Sensedia, a global company specializing in modern integration and API management solutions, is developing the Open Finance System (SFA) Participant Directory in Chile, which will be managed by the Financial Market Commission (CMF), and is a key player in the implementation of the Open Finance model in the country.

As the initiative's technical enabler, Sensedia has worked closely with the CMF, offering its consulting and technological expertise to design the functional model, define operational flows, and create a robust and intuitive user experience. This collaborative effort aims to establish a solid technical foundation for an essential component of the open finance ecosystem in Chile.

"For this implementation, Sensedia integrated cutting-edge technologies aligned with international security and API management standards. The solution includes advanced security protocols that ensure the integrity and protection of information exchanged between system participants," said Marcilio Oliveira, CGO and Co-Founder of Sensedia.

Although the official start date for the Directory's operations is yet to be announced by the CMF, technical developments led by Sensedia are already at an advanced stage, which will allow the Commission to follow the timeline estimated for the implementation of the Open Finance System in Chile.

Sensedia's participation in this initiative builds on its history as a leading enabler of Open Finance in Latin America. In Brazil, the company serves as a Trusted Advisor to the Central Bank and was part of the working group responsible for specifying APIs, directly contributing to the definition of technical standards for Open Banking regulation in the country. The company also played a strategic role in leading the development of the Central Directory API portal, a key platform that enables the registration, integration, and operation of financial institutions within the ecosystem.

In Colombia, Sensedia has partnered with CredibanCo to launch an interoperable hub that includes a federated directory, facilitating the exchange of information between financial institutions. The solution generates data exchange using a single standard, easily, quickly, and securely, to drive business opportunities.

Within this context, Sensedia also provides CMF with its API Management platform, an essential tool in the Open Finance ecosystem for managing the entire API lifecycle securely, scalably, and efficiently, enabling secure and regulatory-compliant information sharing.

Importance of the Participant Directory

The Participant Directory is a key component for the functioning of the Open Finance System in Chile, as it acts as a trusted reference point that centralizes, organizes, and validates information about entities authorized to participate in the ecosystem. Its correct implementation ensures that data exchanges between financial institutions occur securely, transparently, and efficiently, strengthening trust among the stakeholders involved. Furthermore, it enables the automation of authentication and authorization processes, facilitating technical interoperability and reducing operational friction.
