ABES supports the holding of Brazil – Portugal Seminars that will discuss the challenges of the general data protection law, which will have two editions with free registration: April 10th in São Paulo, at the General Consulate of Portugal (jardins); and April 12th in Rio de Janeiro, at Startup Rio (Catete).

The arrival of the new General Data Protection Law (LGPD) in 2020, as a result of the influence of the European GDPR, will impose significant changes on organizations in the management and treatment of personal data, whether of employees or customers, as well as requiring the redesign. of internal processes and procedures that will have a holistic impact on operations.

These issues have been debated in recent months, however, some doubts still remain: What steps should be taken? How can I speed up the compliance process and ensure compliance with the law without harmful consequences for my business? The role of the DPO (Data Protection Officer) will also be addressed. All this from the perspective of real cases of European companies: how to prepare, lessons learned and practices implemented.
