Director of Vertical Health, Walmoli Gerber Junior

Santa Catarina is one of the national references in technologies for the Health sector through the activities of companies that develop software, hardware and services. Many of these businesses are currently gathered in the Vertical Health of the Santa Catarina Association of Technology Companies (ACATE), which aims to be an interface for the relationship between the market and educational and research institutions, in addition to the government itself. To expand these efforts, Vertical promotes on November 26th, in Florianópolis, the third edition of the Seminar of the Cluster of Innovative Technologies for Health, in partnership with the Biomechanical Engineering Laboratory of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).

According to the director of Vertical Health, Walmoli Gerber Junior, the initiative will help consolidate the relationship between the various agents in the segment: entrepreneurs, researchers, representative entities and the government. “The meeting will guide the business community on the prospects for registering innovative products and initiatives in the health area and the medical-hospital industry, so that they can promote the continuous improvement of their activities, conquering more space in the market”, he says. The event, which will include lectures, presentation of cases and a round table, will be held in the auditorium of Centreventos Renato Archer of the Foundation for Research and Innovation in the State of Santa Catarina (Fapesc).

The seminar will discuss issues related to the different spheres involved in the development of technologies for health, with the presence of representatives from ABIMO, FIESC, ANVISA (CATEPS), Ministry of Health, among others. ?THE event schedule, which is free, features examples of university-company cooperation projects and will discuss the health investment fund market in Brazil.
