Technological innovations are increasingly driving transformations around the world in order to generate numerous benefits, such as simplifying day-to-day tasks, modernizing business models and, above all, helping to protect virtual data and monitor physical environments.

Seeking to offer a more agile and intelligent way to manage the monitoring of environments, Seal Telecom – a Brazilian multinational of project engineering that adds innovative technologies for the development of efficient and economically competitive projects – starts to present the possibility of implementing Artificial Intelligence ( AI) in its security systems with features that allow recognition by appearance, thus contributing to more agile and assertive investigations.

The appearance-based recognition solution takes place through an advanced video search engine, using AI, in which it is possible to identify a suspect through behaviors and physical descriptions such as color and style of clothing, gender, height , among other features. Thus, the system performs the analysis of the recording, through the exclusive Avigilon Appearance Search technology combined with the Avigilon High Definition Stream Management (HDSM) technology, which allows the transmission and storage of high quality and resolution images with low power consumption. hard disk and data communication as it displays only the necessary and not the entire recording. Thus, regardless of the number of hours recorded, through its rigorous algorithms, the operator receives the result in just a few minutes.

“One of the biggest problems currently found in the video monitoring segment is the false alarm. With our launch, it will be possible to reduce these incidents by 99%, since the technology has the ability to recognize by self-learning and appearance, being able to detect movements of people and vehicles, and thus, ignore irrelevant features in all scenes, from in order to help the operator to refine his procedures and increase the accuracy and quality of all alarms”, reveals Cristiano Felicissimo, Pre-Sales Director at Seal Telecom.

In order to identify events that can often go unnoticed, the solution also offers Avigilon Unusual Motion Detection (UMD) technology. With no pre-configured settings, UMD constantly analyzes what the normal activities of an environment are and flags any unusual changes that are detected. “In a bicycle race, for example, the movement of people is very large and it can be difficult for the operator to detect an accident. Thus, through AI, the solution issues an alert that something out of the ordinary is happening. Thus, this technology is not programmed for right and wrong, but to detect unusual situations that can happen in the most diverse environments”, highlights Felicissimo.

All camera options to be used in the new intelligent video surveillance system (HD Pro, H4 IR PTZ, H4 HD and H4 HD Bullet) are developed by the partner company Avigilon - developer of the most innovative solutions for analytical video, and video management software and hardware.

“Our new integrated video surveillance solution was developed to be applied in all sectors, as it has a high degree of productivity and low investment in implementation and maintenance. We are very happy with the result of our partnership with Avigilon, as we are adding to our portfolio what is most innovative in the area of security”, concludes the executive.
