Aggressive expansion plan aims to double revenue with actions carried out in the five countries where the company is present in Latin America

Seal Telecom, a Brazilian engineering technology multinational, is reaping the rewards of investment in its expansion into Latin America. In 2019, operations in the six Latin American countries, except Brazil, where it is present, already represent around 15% of the company's revenue as a whole. For 2020, the company intends to double its income and increase the number of employees in these countries by 40%.

Present in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, the company has been in the internationalization process for three years, but it was in 2019 that it intensified investments and brought Ignacio Lucero to the position of Vice President for Latin America. With the strategy of doubling the size of the operation and opening new markets, the company achieved its goals this year. In addition to starting operations in Peru, Seal Telecom Latam grew 78% in labor and doubled its sales in relation to 2018 and stopped representing 5% in the company's gross sales to represent 15%.

For 2020, in addition to doubling sales again and increasing the number of employees by 40%, the Latam operation intends to reach 25% of Seal's total sales and within five years the goal is to reach 60%.

"Regarding our positioning, 2019 was a year with many challenges. We did a very strong job to consolidate the brand and we are reaping the rewards. In 2020, we will continue with investments and expansion. The idea is that we can offer all verticals and solutions offered by the head office in Brazil also in the countries of Latin America, achieving this, we will expand exponentially", says Ignacio.

"We arrived in Peru at the end of 2019, we want to explore this market, but we have not stopped analyzing growth opportunities. Other countries have called our attention", completes the executive.
