São Paulo City Hall and IBM announced an agreement that aims to develop innovative technological solutions for the health sector in the city of São Paulo over the next 3 years. The “100% Saúde” program, named after the company’s centenary in Brazil, will be able to support up to 300 selected startups to solve current problems in the city’s health system, with a consequent improvement in service to the population.
 
"Our goal is to support projects that help us leverage the health sector in the municipality, which can give more agility to the service and reduce queues", said Mayor João Doria.
 
Each selected startup will receive credits equivalent to US$ 1000 per month for a period of one year for the use of service applications on the IBM Cloud platform, as part of the Global Entrepreneur Program (GEP), IBM's global entrepreneurship program. This amount will only be used by companies that join the program and use the service. The total credits provided by the company over the next three years could represent more than R$ 12 million.

This project unites the company's global experience with our innovative local capabilities for a public need of the city and its citizens. of this program drive new changes and progress in our healthcare ecosystem and remain a legacy for the city of São Paulo and our future generations", said Marcelo Porto, president of IBM Brazil.
 
The company's partnership may include support from technicians, consulting and licensing professionals in accordance with the criteria of the GEP. SP Negócios and the company will also be able to jointly define activities to encourage the use of technology, development of applications, prototypes and ideas that can have a positive impact on health. "This is a pioneering and innovative initiative that aims to encourage entrepreneurship and, at the same time, improve service to the population", says Municipal Secretary of Health, Wilson Pollara.
 
Those interested in participating in this first stage should send an email to projectsaude@spnegocios.com, until October 31, expressing interest in the program. To apply, startups must meet the requirements and adhere to the GEP program, must be duly incorporated, in full swing and have annual revenues that do not exceed R$ 3.6 million.
 
"The importance of this partnership with IBM is that we have the opportunity to create a pilot program that can be replicated by other municipalities in Brazil", explained the president of SP Negócios, Juan Quirós. The institution will be responsible for selecting candidate startups to participate in the program. SP Negocios is a company linked to the Municipal Department of Finance, which aims to promote investments, business and exports to the city of São Paulo.
